What is the Target Tool?

The Target Tool is a Python-based GUI application designed to help users extract, organize, and prepare Item Type Category Listing Requirement data efficiently. It allows users to scan multiple category-based Excel sheets, identify required and recommended fields, and generate a structured master file that consolidates key information across selected categories.

This tool is particularly useful for creating data audit sheets for product assortments that span multiple different Target Item Type categories

How It Works

Step 1: Select a Folder

Choose a directory containing the category-based Excel sheets you want to process. The tool will scan and display available files. (Defaults to /Category folder in the installed directory)

Step 2: Choose Files to Process

Select specific Category files to include in the master file generation. Only relevant category sheets will be processed.

Step 3: Generate Master File

The tool will analyze the selected files, extract field information, and generate a structured master Excel file with categorized data.

Step 4: Review and Utilize Data

The final output will be formatted for easy review, including color-coded status indicators and structured categorization.
